We have always wanted to share our beautiful community and surrounding area with other Mule enthusiast. It has been our lifelong dream to have a Mule Event in our Tropic Valley.
This year's Bryce Canyon Mule Days is dedicated to Clint Mecham. He spent a lot of time on the back of a mule following his hounds across southern Utah.
Clint was an advocate for wildlife conservation, a trusted hunting guide, a passionate houndsman and a true cowboy. Every moment he spent in the hills with his family was cherished. He did exceptional work for the Utah Department of Natural Resources working as a predator specialist. He helped the mountain lion population thrive in Utah by capturing, collaring and collecting data on more than 400 lions. His charismatic personality attracted people to him and helped him develop countless friendships with people from all over the country. He was a great example and inspiration to many people.
John Wayne said, “courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway.” After Clint was diagnosed with melanoma, he saddled up and battled it bravely to the very end. He taught us how to live and he taught us how to fight.
We are looking forward to this event, and we hope you are all ready to come and have a good time!
The trail coarse and the items auctioned in the silent auction will help raise money for someone locally that needs a little extra help.
